David Warner has specialized in internet firearm
auction for 12 years. David is the son of Howard Gidovlenko, a decorated
RAF and WWII fighter pilot, USAF test pilot flying the X-1 and Silver Star
recipient for rescuing a fellow down pilot under heavy fire in China. David was born in 1961 in Anaheim,
CA, and spent his formative years
in his father's gun shop (Anaheim Gun Room.)
David served in the US Air Force as an
electronic warfare specialist. While in the service, David put his early lessons to good
use by winning several medals for marksmanship. David also holds a degree in Computer
Technology as well as a degree in Electronic Technology but his true love is
guns.
Not to long after his discharged from the Air Force, David followed in his
father's footsteps by becoming a licensed gun dealer. After relocating to Oregon
David opened "Oregon Guns" and began working with one of the first online firearms
auctions sites. Since then the concept has taken off and has auctioned thousands of rare, antique, military and specialty firearms
from all around the country. Also is a life time member of the NRA.
David and his family faithfully attend Good Shepherd Christian Church in
Boring, Oregon.
And yes there really is a town in Oregon
named “Boring”. There David is part of the media team and enjoys mixing the sound
for the services. David has been married
to his lovely wife Beth for many years
and they have raised four boys ranging in age from 18 to 27 years of age and a beautiful
little girl just 7 years old. His Wife, Brother and some of the children also help out in the
day-to-day operations at Oregon Guns. David enjoys Gods Word, Family, fast cars, good music, good
food, big guns, electronic gadgets, photography, and shooting the breeze
with old friends.
In 2005, one of David's sons, Tim (the one with the cool
gun in the center), joined the Marines, where he is an MP
attached to HMX1 and Marine1, an elite group of MPs that act as personal guard
for the President of the United
States and his assets.
